From Fracture to Fracture Club
Clothing finally understands RECOVERY
After a bad fall, getting dressed became the hardest part of the day. Braces, slings, tenderness - and clothes that fought back.
Instead of enduring the pain, we started re-designing
PROTOTYPE SNAPCHOT
-
Magnetic shoulder zipper that lets you dress without lifting your injured arm
-
Side zipper opening that makes room for casts, braces, and swelling
-
Soft, gentle seams that stay comfortable against sensitive skin
Fracture Club is a small team from Northwestern University co-building with real patients, OT/PTs, and surgeons to make outfits that work with limited mobility, feel good, and look good.

The Problem
Most clothes assume you can lift, bend, zip, and button like nothing happened. After an injury or surgery, that's not real life.
-
Skinny sleeves don't fit over casts or braces
-
Snap-buttoned gowns are often clinical, not personal
-
Why do you have to worry about cutting off the sleeves of your favorite hoodie?
We heard the same story from patients and caregivers: "Never thought that getting dressed can feel like a second injury!"

Our solutions
Recovery wear that you'd actually buy - even without the injury!
Build around two core pieces, tested with real recovery stories.
