Product Overview

These Adaptive Recovery Pants are designed to make dressing easier during lower-body injury recovery, surgery, or periods of limited mobility, without looking or feeling like medical clothing. Thoughtfully engineered with wrap-around access and an easy magnetic waist closure, they reduce the need for lifting, bending, or pulling when getting dressed.

Soft, comfortable, and intentionally styled for everyday wear, these pants are made for long-term use. The integrated adaptive design blends seamlessly into daily life, so they remain part of your wardrobe during recovery and long after healing is complete.

Designed for Recovery and Beyond

Unlike traditional recovery garments made only for short-term use, these pants are built to last. The side zipper and magnetic waist are discreetly integrated into a relaxed, modern silhouette, allowing the pants to function as normal everyday pants once recovery needs change.

Whether worn at home, to appointments, or back into daily routines, they offer comfort, dignity, and flexibility at every stage of recovery.

How to Wear on Your Own

For independent dressing, sitting is recommended for comfort and stability.

  1. Fully unzip the side zipper on the injured leg and open the magnetic waist closure.

  2. Place the pants flat on a chair and carefully sit down onto them.

  3. Guide the non-injured leg into the pant leg.

  4. Gently position the fabric around the injured leg without lifting or bending.

  5. Bring the magnetic waist closure together until it connects.

  6. Zip the side closed as much as comfortable, leaving it partially open if needed.

How Caregivers Can Help

For caregiver-assisted dressing, standing often allows for easier alignment.

  1. Fully unzip the side zipper and open the magnetic waist closure.

  2. With the wearer standing and supported, gently wrap the open pant leg around the injured leg.

  3. Close the magnetic waist closure to secure the pants.

  4. Starting at the waist, zip downward along the leg, stopping wherever is most comfortable.

The pants can remain partially unzipped to accommodate braces, swelling, or medical access.

  • How to Wear on Your Own

    Before you start

Sit in a stable chair and take your time.

Step 1 Prepare the injured side

Unzip the bottom zipper on the injured side completely.

Unzip the top zipper, leaving it zipped to about shoulder length.

Step 2 Remove arm from sling

Slowly and carefully take the injured arm out of the sling. Keep movements small and controlled.

    Step 3 Insert injured arm

Guide the injured arm through the opened sleeve created by the unzipped zippers. Let the garment support the arm rather than lifting it.

Step 4 Put on the rest of the garment

Place the head through the neckline.

Insert the non-injured arm into the other sleeve.

    Step 5 Adjust zippers

    Zip the top zipper closed.

The bottom zipper may remain open if the wearer needs to slide the arm back out to put the sling on.

Once the sling is in place, zip the bottom zipper if comfortable.

    How Caregivers Can Help

    Step 1 Prepare the garment

Fully unzip both the top zipper and the bottom zipper on the injured side so the sleeve opens completely from shoulder to cuff.

Step 2 Keep the sling on

The wearer does not need to remove their sling. Keep the injured arm supported throughout the process.

    Step 3 Position the garment

Gently pull the garment down over the wearer’s head and shoulders.

Guide the open sleeve around the injured arm without lifting or rotating it.

    Step 4 Connect the sleeve

Use the magnetic zipper ends to align and connect the zipper easily around the arm.

    Step 5 Zip and adjust

Zip the sleeve closed smoothly from bottom to top.

Check that the garment sits comfortably before finishing any final adjustments.

Something that I would wear even after bone is healed

I originally bought this during my recovery, but what surprised me most is how much I still wear it now that my bone is fully healed. The design is thoughtful without feeling clinical, and it honestly just works as an everyday piece. It’s rare to find something that supports you when you need it most and still earns a place in your closet afterward.
